I did have a small issue with the automatic movement but Xeric paid to ship it to one of their labs to test and eventually replaced it because they weren’t happy with how it was working. The build quality on the Vendetta is on another level, even compared to my other Xeric watches. It definitely has some heft but not to the point that I’ve had any discomfort even after wearing it all day. It’s easy to read, looks great, and is very comfortable. I’m a huge space nerd and I love unique watches so I bought it as more of a statement piece. The Trappist definitely isn’t the most practical watch but that’s not the reason I bought it. I have the Halograoh, Trappist NASA Automatic, and the Vendetta. I know I’m late to this post, but if you haven’t done so already, I would say go ahead and order the vendetta. That watch is honestly my least favorite Xeric I own (there's nothing wrong with it, I just find the others more interesting), but it will forever be my good luck charm and gets wrist time whenever I have a follow-up appointment. They are unique.Īlso, Mitch from Xeric reached out to me last year when I was going through treatment for stomach cancer to wish me luck after I posted about receiving my Cypher on the day I was diagnosed and wearing it exclusively throughout my treatment. My opinion is that, if you like the style, you should consider getting one. I like that they've been using Miyota 9-series movements on a lot of their watches, but a number are still Miyota 8-series, which just doesn't get me excited. I wish they would exclusively use higher-end movements. The watches are tanks, but honestly own their size a lot better than a lot of the "big for bigness sake" watches.
